FAQ for the Maria Teresa. Sportfishing Los Barriles

At Maria Teresa Sportfishing, we want to make sure our customers are happy with their charter reservations. We understand that sometimes plans change, and that is why we offer a full refund of all charter fees, including the deposit, if you cancel your reservation seven 15 days prior to the charter date.

**Cancelation Policy*

Cancellations made 15 days or more in advance, will receive a full refund. If your reservation is canceled 14 days or less, the deposit will not be refunded.

**Weather Policy**

If the captain deems the water unsafe to fish on the date of your trip, we will try to reschedule. If we are unable to reschedule your trip due to our availability, you will receive a full refund.

The María Teresa provides all necessary fishing equipment for up to our limit of four clients per trip. If you have your own gear, great. Feel free to take it on board. Other than that, make sure that you have sunscreen, water, something to snack on, and we recommend a hat.

Captain Israel Castro is there for you. If you want to learn to tie a knot and troll, he can show you. If you only want to reel in a fish once you are hooked up, you can do that too. From beginning to advanced, the staff of the María Teresa will be right there at your level of expertise to help you along.

There are a few variables that will help in answering this question. You may have a look at our Fish Chart to help determine what type of fish will most likely be in the area depending upon the time of year. Our staff is always on alert as to what fish are biting and where to find them. If you feel like fishing for Marlin, simply ask. If they are biting, we will take you there. If you are more in the mood for Yellowfin Tuna or Grouper, we know where to go.

We are equipped for four adult fishermen per trip, including the captain. The number of children is negotiable.

If you decide to cancel your booking, we will refund 50% of your money if the cancellation is made at least 7 days before the date of the scheduled trip. All cancellations that fall within this 7 day period will not be refunded.

Bad Weather

If the Captain deems that the weather conditions are too dangerous to fish on the day of your booking, we will try and reschedule your trip. If we are unable to reschedule, you will receive 100% of your money back.
